Using BroadbandXpress High Power PCMCIA Card with Smartscan Wireless LAN Utility
1. Click on Start (Figure 1)
2. Click on All Programs (Figure 1)
3. Find the WLAN in your program list (List is in Alphabetical Order) (Figure 1)
4. Place you Cursor over the WLAN program (Figure 1)
5. Arrow over to the right (Figure 1)
6. Place your Cursor over the Wireless LAN UTILITY and Right Click (Figure 1)

You will see red bars,blue bars or yellow bars appear in your System Tray locate at the bottom right hand corner of your screen (Figure 2)8. Left click the bars to launch the Program (Figure 2)

9. In the Configuration Tab, check the State to display “Associated – bbx - ….” (Figure 3)

10. If the State does not display “Associate – bbx - …”, left click on the AP Browser Tab on the top.
11. Left Click on the button Rescan (Figure 4)

12. Once the utility finish scanning for the surrounding networks, you will see bbx listed in the table (Figure 4) (If you do not see bbx listed, repeat step 13. If it still fails, please call the 24 hour help line at 1-206-407-3818.
Left click on bbx and left click Join BSS (Figure 4) 14. You will be brought back to the Configuration Tab and the state should display “Associated – bbx - ...” (Figure 5)

15. Check both Link Quality and Signal Strength to be above 60% for the best reception. If you see either indicator below 60%, try moving you antenna around. (Figure 5). Usually you will get 100% link and signal quality.
16. Once the state displays “Associated – bbx - …” and both Link quality and Signal Strength are above 60%, click OK (Figure 5)
17. Launch you Web Browser, you will be brought to our login page automatically
